Many television programs for toddlers deliver more than just entertainment. Quality shows that provide educational value can be a learning experience for both toddlers and their parents. Want more shows for your toddler to watch? Check out www.satellitetv.net for kid-friendly television options. Shows such as Sesame Street, Dora the Explorer, and Wonder Pets give little ones the chance to learn while they watch.

Sesame Street is a long-running children’s show that has many educational aspects. The show incorporates both a letter of the day and a number of the day, giving toddlers the chance to count and use the alphabet on a daily basis. Friendly puppets such as Elmo and Cookie Monster help young viewers have fun while watching the show.

Toddlers can learn Spanish while watching the popular television series Dora the Explorer. The main character, Dora, and her friendly helpers speak in both English and Spanish while going on adventures. The characters also interact with viewers by asking them to help point out objects, keeping toddlers involved and interested.

The unique show Wonder Pets introduces young ones to classical music. The show’s episodes are shorter than many other programs, which is ideal for toddlers’ shifting attention spans. The charming pets that are the show’s main characters include a duck, a guinea pig, and a turtle. By using classical music and highlighting the concept of teamwork, Wonder Pets offers toddlers ample opportunities to learn.

Parents can get involved with their child’s learning experience by watching shows alongside them. By answering questions their toddler has about the show, parents help educate them and may even learn something new themselves. Watching television can be a bonding experience for parents and young children when the shows being watched are educational.

There are several steps you can take to make your stories gripping for your readers.

First, you should begin in the middle of things. This means that the first part of your story shouldn’t be back story about your character’s life or go through your character’s entire day. The story should already be well in progress in the opening lines.

Second, give your reader a hook at the beginning. Many writers misunderstand this advice. Your aim is to make the reader care immediately about what happens next. This doesn’t necessarily mean you should open the story with a hail of gunfire or another big action sequence as some beginning writers imagine; why would the reader care if they have no idea of who is being shot at or why? But consider how you can craft a compelling opening in your first few sentences, and continue to make your reader care throughout the piece.

Next, raise the stakes. Just as your protagonist solves one problem, introduce another of greater magnitude.

Finally, don’t skimp on the climax. You need to fully develop this part of the story as a reward to your reader.

With the above tips, you’ll be on your way to writing gripping fiction.

From magic to mystery, Harry Potter has a little bit of everything for readers. The story begins as any other fairy tale. You might not see the truth in the story, or the relation to life in general until you read past the first book, but there are subtleties that you cannot get past.
As soon as you turn the page in the first book, you fall into the mystery of the life of Harry Potter. There is just something about a boy who can make a snake talk to him that cannot be overlooked. The school he attends can only be accessed by walking through a brick wall to get on a train, and the professors are all magicians. Ghosts fly through the school, and they direct the students to the proper areas.
Harry Potter discovers not only his love for magic but a love for his friends. He has no family, and without the support of Hermione and Ron, he would not be able to find the life that he desires. Harry meets many adversaries while on his journey through Hogwarts. In the end, Harry learns that love conquers all, and there can be a happy ending to a life that has been shattered.

In a world where many people seem to have forgotten about the importance of morals, it is important to find ways to point out and instill good morals in yourself and your children every chance that you get. One of the greatest ways to do this is by reading some of the epic tales of yesterday; most of these stories have great meanings and wonderful lessons on morals.

Whether you could use a good story yourself or if you are trying to instill morals in your children, some of the oldest epic tales can be a great way to explain morals in a fun and interesting way. Nearly every story has moral value of some sort, and most of these stories are an absolute pleasure to read. Make an effort to sit down with your children with some of these epic tales; you will be glad that you did. You can snuggle up and share a beautiful epic story, and then you and your children can discuss the moral value of the tale after you are finished. Not only will this be a great time to bond and talk with your children, but you will also teach them important life lessons, and you might even learn something yourself.

Real life experiences are the best experiences to have. One of my most memorable real life experiences was going to Florida and swimming with the dolphins. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Of course they were trained dolphins, but it was defiantly worth it. I never could of imagined dolphins being that well tamed. One of the cool things I got to do was feed the dolphins. To be able to feed something that big and it not bite was pretty amazing. One other thing I got to do was kiss the dolphin. Is this new to you? Catch up here Again, it was amazing to be able to kiss a dolphin and not have to worry about it biting me. The last and most memorable thing I got to do was actually ride the dolphin. Most people never get to do something like that in their life. When riding the dolphin, you hold onto its fin and let your body relax with the dolphin. As you can see this was a pretty amazing life experience. If you ever have the opportunity to do something like this is your life, make sure you do it. You will be mesmerized and glad that you took the time to do it.

Writing a short story fiction or non-fiction is a long process that shows someone’s creative ability. Short stories are an art, a form of expression that people these days have seem to forgotten. If you want to make an appealing short story that people can delve into, try these simple guidelines to get started.

Have a Calm Atmosphere

You will need a quiet to brainstorm all of your ideas. If there is too much noise in the background, you can lose your train of thought, which may cause some serious writer’s block. If you need music in order to write, choose something peaceful and ambient, this will stimulate the mind and may help you write with fluency.I was looking for more information and found it here.

Think of Something Unique

For plot ideas, try to look back on your life for past experiences. You can take these experiences and place them in your story. You don’t have to make it word for word, you can take a bit of realness from your life and mix it with fantasy. This is what makes a great short story, since readers will try to relate to it in their own way.

Keep It Short

Don’t let the story flow on too much, it needs to be short and sweet. The main purpose of an excellent short story is to grab the attention of the reader and give them waves of emotions. If it drags on it will become much more of a novel than a short read.

Keep this tips in mind for your future short story. Don’t forget to edit it and read it over to make sure the sentence structure is fluent and precise.

Not many children like to hear that it is bedtime. Parents everywhere get the whinny, “do I have to go to bed?”, from their children. Often times children will ask for a bedtime story and parents will allow them to choose their favorite one. There are some excellent bedtime stories and books, but what is even better is one Mommy or Daddy makes up specifically for their child!

If you want to see a child’s face light up at bedtime try saying, “Let’s go to bed, and I will tell you a story I made up just for you!” Parents and grandparents are the best story writers, and what better way to send a little one off to dreamland than with a story about their favorite things.Check out this link here.

When making up a bedtime story, the parent will of course want to keep in mind that the child may have dreams about it. This means no scary stories, especially for younger kids. Think about the child’s favorite things. Stories about princesses, better yet your daughter is the princess, or horses, unicorns, pirates (nice ones of course), your son the superhero. The sky is the limit when making up your own bedtime story.

For older children, you may want to let them help write the story. Start off with an opening and let them build on it. Take turns making the story an original creation that they too can own.

These are the bedtime stories your children are going to ask for time and time again. They will drift off to sleep feeling super special and loved.
